Spring Equinox Fire Ceremony
Monday March 23rd, 2015

The Spring Equinox represents a significant change in the cycle of the year. The changing light heralds the end of winter and a burst of energy is released from Mother Earth that stirs the plants, animals, and us! This ceremony is about planting seeds in the early Spring - the seeds of your hopes and dreams for the coming year. It is a time of gathering by the fire in the evening light to get quiet inside, to pray and to vision the year ahead.

This ceremony will be held by Spiritual Elder Jaki Daniels.

Monday, March 23rd, 2015 at Country Garden Crystals, Crossfield.

Ceremony begins at 7:30pm (please arrive a few minutes early). In the Cree Tradition there are no fees to attend a ceremony, but a donation to the Elder, offered in the spirit of reciprocity and acknowledgement, is gratefully received.

Please bring a folding chair, a blanket (for warmth), a thermos of hot tea or coffee (optional), and clothing appropriate to the weather. Specific ceremonial supplies are required and will be available. Estimated cost is $5/person, which can be reimbursed to Maureen or Sylvie upon your arrival. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED by contacting Laura Money at Country Garden Crystals (403) 946-5802 or email
